Monte Design EditionΒΆ

Monte Design Edition is an EAR99-version (United States export control classification) of the powerful Monte astrodynamic library and applications. It supports space mission development from initial concept to launch, and includes the ability to design spacecraft trajectories, perform statistical maneuver analysis, conduct orbit determination covariance analysis, and much more. In order to support a wider audience with an EAR99-designation, the design edition cannot be used to support flight operations. The measurement and filtering systems have the following modifications to allow the software to be used for covariance analysis but not orbit determination:

  • Measurements will always have a computed value of zero. Partial derivatives are computed normally.

  • The filter sets all the residual values to zero.
